Research Experience
Propel Impact Investment Fund: Impact Investment Fellow
Collaborated with a cross-functional team to develop a comprehensive investment memo for Tydra Labs, including opportunity qualification, financial assessment, stakeholder mapping, and a logic model. Conducted competitor and market analysis, financial forecasting, and scenario modeling to evaluate the scalability and impact potential of sustainable chitin extraction technologies. Produced financial models (cash flow, revenue projections, cost analysis) to support investment recommendations and demonstrate pathways to commercialization. Achieved 3rd place nationally in an investment competition for innovative impact-driven investment analysis.
Legacy of Hope: Research Assistant
Conducted Literature Reviews on Climate Change and its Impact on Indigenous Communities: Including readings such as the Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) and the Environmental Conservation and Climate Change Office (ECCCO), titled "Conservation/Biodiversity for Indigenous Women, Girls, Gender-Diverse, and Two-Spirit People" , "Indigenous-Led Conservation: The Key to Sustaining Biodiversity in Canada" by the Indigenous Leadership Initiative, "The Resilience of Indigenous Peoples to Environmental Change" by James D. Ford and others, "Impacts of Environmental Changes on Well-Being in Indigenous Communities in Eastern Canada" from the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
Cooperation Canada: Research and Report Writing Intern
Conducted Fieldwork Research & Report Writing: Supported the update of "The Global Humanitarian Context" report. This involved conducting research to gather relevant data, synthesizing findings, and contributing to drafting, editing, and formatting the report. The work focused on examining the impact of Canadian and North American political developments on the humanitarian sector, considering upcoming political shifts, elections, and their implications for Canadian humanitarian actors.
International House University of Ottawa: International Student Handbook
Conducted Fieldwork Research & Report Writing: Led the writing team for the International Student Handbook project. Was responsible for conducting both primary and secondary research to inform the content of the handbook. Organized events, such as the International Student Handbook Consultation, to gather direct feedback from students on what they needed to know as newcomers. Created a survey to collect data on students' needs, which helped shape the handbook's content.
Content Creation
Vision Board Night: Event Graphic and Recap Video
This graphic not only tripled online engagement but also effectively promoted the event, leading to a fully booked capacity. The Development Students' Association is small, and one of its key challenges has been low engagement. Increasing participation was one of my main goals when I became VP Social, and I’m proud to say I am achieving that. The recap got just as much attention, again something never seen before on the AEDSA instagram page.

Talk Your Stuff Night: Promotional Video
This promotional video involved scriptwriting, filming, and editing—all of which I handled myself, with the support of my colleagues for filming. It was a major success, boosting our content in ways we had not seen before. One key piece of advice I always give when consulting on social media is to invest time and effort into the content—because the audience will engage with a promotional video as much as the effort put into creating it. This video once again tripled our online engagement and contributed to a successful event with over 20 participants.

OPIRG "Food as Fuel": Graphics and Video
I worked with OPIRG to enhance their social media strategy, focusing on branding, accessibility, and engagement. My recommendations included:
  • Establishing a Visual Identity: Implementing a consistent color scheme (e.g., distinct green seen in the following graphics I created for them) to make OPIRG instantly recognizable, similar to UOSU’s branding approach.
  • Enhancing Post Accessibility: Simplifying content by using clear headings, bolded details, and digestible formatting to improve readability, especially for accessibility needs.
  • Clarifying OPIRG’s Purpose: Introducing pinned posts or highlight reels to explain OPIRG’s mission and events, making it easier for new students to understand and get involved.
Through these changes, OPIRG can create a more engaging and visually cohesive online presence that resonates with students, particularly Gen Z.
